The Bridge Ecumenical Employment Ministry welcomes you!

Everyone knows someone who has struggled or is struggling with the challenges of finding a new career. Our faith community can build a strong bridge to support and empower our sisters and brothers as they make this difficult journey.

Through our community of knowledgeable volunteers, The Bridge equips career seekers to deal proactively with the many challenges of transition in order that they make wise career decisions.

We offer:

  • First-call support
  • One-on-one mentors
  • Variety of ways to network

Mission Statement

Impelled by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Bridge community supports and empowers career seekers to make wise decisions through first call assistance, resources, support meetings and networking.

Get Involved!

Are you willing to share your expertise (in any area) or your life experience? We need mentors, occasional presenters, advisors, ministry helpers of all kinds. You specify what you can offer. If you have a heart for this ministry, come, learn how you can help!

We need a big resource group – a variety of people!

Vision Statement

We are Christ for one another. Bound together by faith in the resurrection, we build the bridge that supports our brothers and sisters as they make the difficult journey from one point in their career life to another.

We believe in their divine dignity, their gifts, their right to life-giving work, their call to continue the mission of Jesus. By providing a positive environment, the Bridge reinforces self-esteem, which in turn, maximizes their effectiveness in the pursuit of new employment.

We offer access to strategic resources designed to help them and their families make wise decisions about their future. We do not give legal or professional advice, but offer what we can — prayer, compassion, the wisdom of our personal experience, and a living network of friends.

Through a community of knowledgeable volunteers, the Bridge equips career seekers to proactively deal with the many challenges of transition — legal, financial, emotional and spiritual. We offer first-call support, one-on-one mentors, a support group with focused presentations, and a variety of ways to network in a challenging but reassuring environment.

We believe that every suffering/set-back/loss opens an opportunity for new life. Therefore, we keep "our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith" who "for the sake of the joy that lay before him" endured the cross (cf Hebrews 12:2-3). Like him, we discover new life as we stay faithful to the journey.

As we suffer with those who suffer, the Bridge community also rejoices with those who rejoice. We celebrate every successful transition as a victory for all of us.
